Meet our new leadership team

Congratulations to our new Context leadership team—Dr Christina Dyson, as Manager, People, and Julian Siu, as Manager, Consulting. We are thrilled to have these talented heritage professionals as senior members of our business.

Dr Christina Dyson

Christina joined Context over 10 years ago, following five years working at GML Heritage in Sydney. She specialises in historic gardens and horticultural and cultural landscape heritage, and has particular knowledge of twentieth century Australian plant gardens. Christina completed her doctorate at the University of Melbourne (Melbourne School of Design) in 2015, her thesis investigating post-WWII Australian plant gardens and their connections to national identity.

An inspired leader, Christina successfully leads a range of Context’s heritage advisory and assessment projects and large municipal heritage studies. Her wide experience in Australia’s urban and built heritage, at world, national, state and local levels, combined with a willingness to impart a great deal of knowledge to her team make her a valuable project lead and respected mentor.

Julian Siu

Following 8 years at GML Heritage in Sydney, Julian has brought his natural leadership skills and heritage expertise to support and grow Context. Julian’s move to Melbourne builds the exchange of professional knowledge and experience in the broader GML group of consulting teams and will continue to deliver great client services that match today’s heritage practice.

Julian enjoys collaborating with design professionals, property owners, developers and industry organisations to deliver projects where change at heritage places inspires creative design, revitalisation and continuing conservation. His knowledge of heritage planning and advanced project management skills has seen him successfully coordinate major projects for State and Commonwealth government clients in NSW and Victoria. At Context, Julian works on heritage assessments, urban development, adaptive reuse and interpretation projects.

Contact Julian or Christina to discuss your next heritage project in Victoria.
